Sadly, in one company I was with, we used a tool called Microsoft Word to sign the sub-certification, and the consolidation team used a tool called Excel to keep track of the submissions.....

Subject: Sub-certification for SOX CFO certification
For those working in a US public company environment – under Sarbanes-Oxley the CEO and CFO have to file a certification addressing the disclosures in the 10-K and 10-Q, and related matters (e.g. internal controls). Many companies have the applicable professionals in the company sign a "sub-certification" to provide assurance to the CFO that the company is in compliance. Some companies use software and/or an outsourced service to administer the sub-certifications (and sometimes other related SOX processes). Does anyone here have experience with such vendors that they can recommend?
