Possible score without making it to the essay section

    Hello,
    I'm curious as to how high your score can get if you didn't make it to the essay section? For anyone that didn't get to the essay, can you post your scores so we can see how high the score can possibly be before any essay points? I've seen somewhere that the highest is about 270.

    Following. Just took the test October 24th. In the tutorial, it said you must score higher than 50% on the multiple choice in order to take the essay portion. I don't have a score to post since I did make it to the essay.

    Hi  Abraham ,

    As far as I know minimum score to clear mcq is 260 , In order to clear cma exam you have to attend essay questions.
    last time I got 220 and didnt get access to essay section. I had attempted close to 80 questions in mcq and last 20 questions were guess work. Compared to that this time I could do all the mcq except 4-5 questions which were quite confusing. I did get through essay section.

    Thanks Kirti! That leads me to believe that if someone does well enough to pass on the multiple choice portion, they've probably already earned at least 260-280 points. Thanks and good luck!

    Hi Baraa,

    From what I have heard one needs to clear 50 % of mcq to get access to essay. Did you check with someone or the ima team why this happened? if you got 260 that means you could do 65 qs correctly out of 100 that's more than 50 %.

    I heard that in every exam 10 MCQs are not graded, IMA will be testing the possibility to add in the future, nothing is clear regarding scoring
    so I just retook the exam and pass it.

    Thank you, both parts done.
    IMA provide final score only, but in case the result is fail then Prometric will send section wise scores after 14 days of exam.

    Hello there, I took my exam in the May-June window 2023 and I got 300 marks but I didn't get to the essay and I do not know why I got 300 without getting into the essay section.
