IMA Japan Chapter（IMA日本チャプター）とは
IMA日本チャプターは、米国本部を持つ管理会計プロフェッショナルの国際団体 IMA（Institute of Management Accountants）の日本における公式チャプターです（※1）。
FP&A（Financial Planning & Analysis／財務企画・分析）、管理会計（Management Accounting / 経営会計）、およびUS-CMA（Certified Management Accountant／米国公認管理会計士）資格に関心を持つ日本のビジネスパーソンのために、学び・ネットワーキング・キャリア形成の場を提供しています。
日本企業ではいま、経営管理や事業戦略をリードするFP&A機能や管理会計の重要性が高まり続けており、それらを体系的に学べる国際資格として、US-CMA資格への注目も急速に高まっています。IMA 日本チャプターは、日本における「FP&A」「管理会計」「US-CMA資格」の信頼できる情報源かつコミュニティとして、会員の皆さまの成長とキャリアアップを支援します。

私たち IMA 日本チャプターのMissionは、次の4つの柱を通じて、日本における管理会計・FP&A・US-CMA資格の発展に貢献することです。

Our Responsibilities（我々の責任）
Chapter/Council Activities（ボランティア活動：IMA Japan Chapterの主な役割）
IMA日本チャプターは、会員ボランティアを中心としたチャプター活動を担います。
- Continuing professional education (CPE) programs
・管理会計、FP&A、US-CMA試験範囲に関連する継続教育（CPE）プログラムの企画・運営
- Networking activities (non-CPE)
・CPE以外のネットワーキングイベントの企画・開催
- Training and other initiatives such as mentorship, leadership, scholarships, etc.
・メンタリング、リーダーシップ開発、奨学金支援など、会員のプロフェッショナル成長につながる各種イニシアチブ
- Community service programs
・コミュニティへの貢献や社会的インパクトを重視したプログラムの企画・参加
- Connect IMA Business Development team to local businesses to help grow corporate memberships.
・日本国内の企業・団体と IMA Business Development チーム（Asia Pacific）をつなぐ役割を担い、コーポレートメンバーシップの拡大をサポート

- Minimum Workload for Leadership Team Members
・リーダーシップチームの負荷を必要最小限に抑えつつ、持続可能な運営モデルを追求すること。
・効率的な運営とデジタルツール／Generative AIの活用により、長期的に継続できるチャプター運営を実現します。

IMA Japan Chapter: Overview
The IMA Japan Chapter is the official Japanese chapter (*) of the IMA (Institute of Management Accountants), an international organization for management accounting professionals headquartered in the United States. The chapter provides a platform for learning, networking, and career development for business professionals interested in FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), Management Accounting, and the US-CMA (Certified Management Accountant) credential.
As the importance of FP&A and management accounting grows within Japanese companies, the US-CMA is gaining rapid attention as a global qualification for systematic learning. The IMA Japan Chapter serves as a trusted information source and community to support the growth and career advancement of its members.
Our Mission
Our mission is to contribute to the development of management accounting, FP&A, and the US-CMA credential in Japan through four primary pillars:
- Professional Growth: Supporting the growth of professionals in management accounting and FP&A, and improving the level of US-CMA holders and candidates in Japan.
- Professional Networking: Providing a venue for experts in FP&A, management accounting, finance, and corporate planning to connect and expand their practical knowledge and career opportunities.
- Promotion of IMA and US-CMA Presence in Japan: Establishing a strong presence so that the IMA Japan Chapter is the first organization recognized for the US-CMA credential in the Japanese market.
- Development of FP&A Profession & Organization in Japan: Supporting the evolution of FP&A roles and organizations within Japanese companies to establish finance functions that impact management.

Our Responsibilities
The IMA Japan Chapter is driven by member volunteers who manage various chapter and council activities:
- Continuing Professional Education (CPE): Planning and managing programs related to management accounting, FP&A, and the US-CMA exam syllabus.
- Networking Activities (non-CPE): Organizing events focused on building professional connections.
- Training & Initiatives: Facilitating mentorship, leadership development, and scholarships to support professional growth.
- Community Service: Planning and participating in programs focused on social impact and community contribution.
- Corporate Support: Connecting local Japanese businesses with the IMA Asia Pacific Business Development team to expand corporate memberships.
Our Priorities
Our activities are designed around two core priorities:
- Maximum Service to Our Members: Maximizing value by prioritizing the delivery of information, learning opportunities, and networks that truly assist with FP&A, management accounting, and US-CMA career paths in Japan.
- Minimum Workload for Leadership Team Members: Pursuing a sustainable operating model that minimizes the burden on the leadership team. This is achieved through efficient operations and the use of digital tools and Generative AI.

*Note : The IMA Japan Chapter was established in August 2022 following the merger of the IMA Tokyo and IMA West Japan Chapters.
