    Hello everyone.

I would like some advice and possible partnership.

I am currently getting prepared to study for the FAR part of the CPA exam and I desire to study for the CMA exam also.

I have done some research online and see that both the CPA exam and the CMA exam have some similar material.

I would like anyone who is in the same situation to share their story about studying for both exams and how FAR portion of the CPA exam can relate to certain parts of the CMA exam.

    Hi Anthony,

Yes there is some degree of overlap in FAR & the CMA. But there are some differences too like for example deferred tax liability or government accounting would be in FAR & not the CMA.

    Hi Anthony,
I was also searching for similar information online and found that Wiley has done a nice comparison of CMA and CPA programs and how they overlap. In the following link you will find a table with information on how certain sections of CMA Part I and II relate to CPA's FAR, REG, BEC and AUD exams.
