Hi Anthony,

Yes there is some degree of overlap in FAR & the CMA. But there are some differences too like for example deferred tax liability or government accounting would be in FAR & not the CMA.

I was also searching for similar information online and found that Wiley has done a nice comparison of CMA and CPA programs and how they overlap. In the following link you will find a table with information on how certain sections of CMA Part I and II relate to CPA's FAR, REG, BEC and AUD exams.
