Hi Brian,
I appreciate your insights on this matter. You are absolutely correct; selecting the right study materials is a highly personal decision. The choice of a speaker in instructional videos is an important factor to consider.
It's reassuring to know that if I already have study materials from HOCK, Gleim, Wiley, or the IIA, there is no need to buy a second set of materials.
Once again, thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences.

Hello, Laila Perillo,
I am not the most objective person to ask about CIA study materials. You mentioned that you are currently preparing for CIA. If you have materials already from HOCK, Gleim, Wiley or the IIA, you have what you need and there is no need to purchase a second set of materials. Study materials are very personal based on your learning style and how you like the speaker in the video and how you like the way the textbook is written. I would recommend that if you are still looking for materials, you sign up for the free trial for the different providers to actually use the materials a bit to find the materials that work best for you.

Hi Brian,
Thank you for sharing your perspective on the value of obtaining both certifications. I appreciate your insight into how these certifications complement each other. I also appreciate your guidance on the order in which to pursue the CIA certification, starting with Part 3. It's very helpful to know.
Could you please recommend review materials to help prepare for the exam?
Thank you.

Hello, Laila Perillo,
Personally, I think that CMA is an excellent addition to CIA, and vice versa. If you have any desire to get into internal audit, CMA will serve as an excellent foundation for what the company should be doing and the types of decisions that the company needs to be making. This will provide the foundation to assess operations against a known standard. And even if you do not go into internal audit, having the background of what the internal audit function is doing and supposed to do will help working with all of the controls and procedures that get set up. Any chance that you have to add a second skill set in a related field, I think it is an excellent thing to do.
If you do decide to pursue CIA, I would recommend that you start with Part 3. Part 3 includes a lot of content that is on CMA, so it is the easiest Part to prepare for. Then after Part 3, I would do Part 1 followed by Part 2. But, that is just a recommendation and the three parts can be taken in any order.

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone here has pursued the CIA certification after completing their CMA. If so, I would greatly appreciate hearing about your insights and experiences.
Thank you in advance.
