    Colleen,

    Are you talking about the actual insurance carrier or the insurance broker? If it's the insurance broker, I had a former client for a couple of years that was an insurance broker, specifically employer health insurance. There is a lot of accruals and deferrals in the accounting if you use accrual-basis as recommended by US GAAP. If you go with cash-basis, it is easier. Send me a message and we can talk about it.
