    Hi all,

Are there any fractional CFO's in our community or those who consult with small businesses?  I'm interested  to know what is in your tech stack.

I was recently asked if I used Datarails and based on my extremely long history with Microsoft Access and Excel, I hadn't seen a need for it, but perhaps things have changed.  What other software should I be considering?

I opened my own business, Ballard Forensics, 15 months ago after 13 years in Insurance, working my way from cost accountant to manager of an accounting department, then 22 years in litigation support as a forensic accountant and CFE.  My business focuses primarily on law firms but I am open to any small professionally licensed firm.

Thank you in advance for your time and any suggestions/advice you have to share.

    Hi Mara,

Interestingly I came across a similar topic of "fractional CFO for SME" the other day at a conference about AI-tech in Finance. So far the use of AI technology in finance is still in its nascent stage, but we are foreseeing a large tide coming. In Europe, a combination of AI tools, such as Chat-GPT and Python code, Microsoft's newly launched Co-pilot is gaining traction. We just need to keep up closely with what's going to happen. I'm curious about what others in this community are using in terms of AI technology. Stay tuned.

Reports are based on Power BI software. If you are good at Excel and Access, then you can easily learn Power BI.

Weather to go to Datarails, depends on how much time you spend in creating dashboards and recurring license fee.

If you need further help in power BI, you can contact me.
