If you want to take the exam at a different time (in the next exam window), you'll need to explain why in an email to IMA.
Here's how to request a change to your exam window:
Fill out the Exam Switch Form: Click on this link [link to Exam Switch Form: Exam Switch Form | IMA] to fill out and submit the form.
Limit of 1 Switch: Please note that you can only change your exam window once per exam part.
Refer to the Student Handbook: For more information about changing exam windows, please download and review the CMA Student Handy Book.
Important: Changing your exam window will incur additional fees, which you'll need to pay to the IMA.
Kindly note that your IMA membership must be active and in good standing to process an exam switch request.
If you need to cancel your current appointment:
- Visit https://www.prometric.com/exams/icma
- Click on "Reschedule/Cancel" under "TEST CENTER EXAM".
- Enter your 16-digit confirmation number from Prometric and the first 4 letters of your last name., then click on submit. Follow the on-screen prompts to cancel your appointment.
As a reminder, the current exam appointment must be cancelled at least 72 hours (3 days) before the exam date based on the policy from Prometric. If your appointment is not cancelled in time, we cannot switch your registration. If you cancel your exam within 72 hours of your appointment, you will forfeit your exam fee.
If you cancel your exam within 3 to 30 days of the appointment date, Prometric will charge you a $50 fee. This fee cannot be waived.

Can anybody guide me for Cancelation or rescheduling of exam? My Part 1 exam date is on 28 Feb 2025. I want to reschedule in next window (May Jun 25). Can anybody suggest should i cancel and book later on for next window? or i make request to IMA for rescheduling in May Jun window?? Which is beneficial? Also can anybody provide clarification on refund policy of IMA??
