  • 1.  CMA Part 1 Exam Centers - Houston, TX

    I am attempting to schedule my exam for the CMA Part 1 exam (Jan-Feb window), and the Prometric site is saying that there are no testing centers in Houston, TX. The nearest testing center according to the scheduling site is all the way in College Station, about an hour and half and 82 miles away from my home.

    Does anyone know if this is just a glitch in the Prometric site, or if there is actually no CMA testing center in Houston? I took my FMAA exam at a local college here in Houston, so I'm a little surprised to see that there are no testing centers for the CMA.

    I'm also in Houston and took my first exam in College Station, but there was also the option of taking the exam in Houston. Did you try changing the dates as there may not be slots available in Houston for the dates that you want? I checked around a week ago and I saw slots in both Houston and College Station, so it's possible that you're experiencing a glitch.

    Maybe the dates are scheduled and there is not a single date available for the exam.

    Hello Sebastian,

    There should be a Prometric Center at 7111 Harwin Dr., Houston.  Their number is 832-242-2302.  It may be that this center doesn't offer the CMA exam during that window (which is why it's not showing up).  I will say that I scheduled my Part II exam at this center for the end of June (on a Sunday), only to receive an email from Prometric the day before the exam (Saturday) saying that the center was having problems and my exam was cancelled.  This was very upsetting, as you can imagine. 

    I ended up rescheduling, but instead of risking another cancellation by the Houston Prometric, I booked my exam for College Station.  It went well at College Station and I was glad that I took it there.
