  • 1.  Bookkeeping and FP&A/Budgeting software for a small company

    Hello all!

I have a potential project with a company who is recovering from bankruptcy and needs a new bookkeeping system. Historically they have earned around $30M in revenue and I'd like to set them up with something that could grow with them to sustain at least $50M of revenue and activity in the near future. I'd also be curious if there is any FP&A software/systems out there that they could also use and would integrate with whatever bookkeeping system we choose.

Would love any thoughts, advice, recommendations around bookkeeping and FP&A software that anyone thinks may fit the bill.

    Thanks!

    Colleen

    Hi Colleen,

I am following this as well. We are currently looking at Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as an upgrade from Quickbooks. It feels somewhat challenging to find affordable software that checks all of the boxes. I hope to see some replies here shortly with those who have upgraded. Thanks for the post.

    Hello, Colleen!

I highly recommend Jirav for your FP&A needs, especially if you're looking for a flexible, scalable solution that can support a growth trajectory like the one you're describing. My organization has been using Jirav since last July, and it has transformed how we handle our forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. The integration with QuickBooks Online is seamless, and the Jirav team truly excels at providing personalized support-they've worked with us to ensure the system is customized for our specific needs, including complex overhead allocations and profitability analysis across departments.

Jirav has been a reliable tool for us, and I'm confident it could serve as a robust addition to any bookkeeping setup that supports a company emerging from bankruptcy and aiming for growth. If you'd like, I'd be happy to introduce you to the Jirav team or answer any specific questions about our experience.

Best of luck with the project!

    Hi Colleen,

I'm glad the recommendation resonates! I work in executive recruitment, specifically focusing on agriculture and essential industries, so we have unique financial modeling needs-especially around departmental profitability and customized forecasting. Jirav has been fantastic for our industry's requirements, and their team really understands the nuances of different business models.

I'd be happy to connect you with my contact there to discuss how Jirav might fit your project's needs. Let me know if you'd like an email introduction or if you'd prefer to reach out directly.
