Yes you are right , they will provide the Table for PV factor , FV factor and Annuity. But using calculator will save time. If section E is tested 10% and calculations is required for atleast 3 question for Uneven cashflows scenarios then calculator will save half of the time allocated to each question that can be useful.
for IRR calculation if it is tested in exam, then you must use the calculator for quick answer.
In short , calculator will save your time in exam.
You can use any simple calculator or any calculator which have 6 functions or below suggested by CMA website
