Hello Khoa,
trust you are safe & doing well in CMA study
According to IMA exam support package, all discounted cash flow calculations have been done by using PV tables (Calculating NPV, IRR, DPB in Part-2)
In CMA Part-1 the only formula that requires a financial calculator is the cumulative average time per unit (Learning curves), otherwise, all calculations can be done by using the simple 4 functions calculator.
What matters is the difference of "Time" consumption between the normal & financial calculators. Personally, I have ordered HP 10bii+ as per Dr. Monte's recommendation (The best CMA instructor in Wiley's program) but still not sure of using it or not (Until I receive & practice it).
Please find attached CMA hand book for reference.
Wish you best of luck, success, safe & healthy condition
Kind regards

Ohm.

Subject: Calculator which can be used in CMA testing
I've just signed in IMA and started to become CMA Qualified.
I had some concerns about the "Calculator Policy" which I've read in the CMA Handbook.
At the moment, I've got a Calculator called
Casio Fx-500 MsSo I would like to ask, can I bring this calculator (Casio Fx-500 Ms) to CMA testing?
because its function was the same as "Texas Instruments' BA II Plus"
Thank for your concern
