    Hello everyone

    I have just finished the exam for part 1 and the wait is killing, i don't think I did very well but i have reached the essay section, my question here is I have found a website saying to reach the essay you have to solve 50% of MCQ correct but the catch is it is means 50% of the full score which is 250 not as I thought 50% only from MCQs which means 187, is this info correct? is it 250 or 187?

    Hi Riffa,

    If my understanding is not wrong, MCQ carries 75% marks (375 out of 500) and 50% correct MCQ means basically you have already got 37.5% (187.50 out of 500), remaining is 172.50 (360-187.50).  So wait for another 172.50 marks :).

    In my opinion you dont want to worry about this issue.. bcz IMA grading system still unknown we dont know how they are going to grade. 

    According to IMA : They Put 100 MCQs which is 90 MCQs was relevant and 10 MCQs was irrelevant. Which means you cant get 10 MCQ scores. They will allocate 375 to 90 MCQs. You will able to open the Essay Window after 45 MCQs was correct not mentioning the Scores (187.5) Each MCQs have different weightage we cant predict it. 

    Dont overwhelm in thinking about results.
