Hello Paula,
Trust you are safe & doing well
Welcome to our study group and CMA community, hope you will enjoy it.
I would recommend you to take some time going through the previous discussions posted in this group, there are a lot of useful past articles. Personally, am still exploring old posts dated ten years back, it is really very helpful.
Regarding the CMA study requirements, it depends on what package you have already received and what study style you prefer. All member here, have a different recommendations to offer. Personally am using Wiley platinum package which covers 90% of my needs, the rest is covered by CMA exam support package and additional websites research. You can review their package details here
Platinum Wiley CMAexcel Exam Review Course 2020 I liked and picked-up Wiley for many reasons which I have posted in my previous discussions, most importantly is the easy understanding approach of knowledge presentation according to IMA Learning Outcome Statements required for CMA exam. These LOS have been summarized in very professional and useful way to make the full course review is more easier and faster. Unfortunately this added-value service is available only with Platinum package.
Many members will argue that Gleim has a more tough and useful test bank to prepare you better for the real exam, yes that's true, but you have to suffer for many months reading disorganized materials and practicing a very complex MCQs while you don't need all that, Wiley has enough knowledge to pass the CMA exam in a very nice study program. I highly recommend the platinum package.
Online course (Video lectures) is not enough, because you need the text books (E-Book or Printed copy) for multiple & future detailed review, in addition to MCQ test bank, not forgetting to mention the mock exam which is virtually similar to live exam setup (A very important tool to manage your score & time progress).
Finally, you can start studying first, have a general idea of what is required for the exam, evaluate your own knowledge and efficiency, then you can sign up for exam at later time, but you have to consider that:
It is always better to commit yourself for a specific exam date, rather than leaving it flexible and uncertain.
Gentle reminder:Please don't forget to download the Exam Support Package 2020 included with your new membership.Hope this will be helpful to you.
Wish you best of luck, success, safe & healthy condition.
Kind regards

Hi everyone,
I recently decided to take the CMA Certification exam, but before I start I would need to answer some questions. When I am enrolled as an IMA member, I have received a study package but I think I need something more to study.
Do you recommend an online course or can I buy the books and study on my own? If so, which ones would you recommend? I have seen many people recommend Wiley's books / courses.
On the other hand, I have not signed up for any exam date yet, can I start studying and sign up later when I have clearer how to organize it?
Thanks in advance, your experiences would help me.
Best regards,
Paula Obrador
