    Good afternoon friends,

How can we know that what subjects we should focus to learn about them to appear for examination for part 1. According to my work, I  noticed mainly part 1 study material is relating to cash flow only. If any one can share more information, please.

    Hello Nikunj,

Based on your profile, you joined IMA recently starting January. That is OK, you may have a lot of questions to be answered.
Please refer to IMA hand book which include the main details you should know about CMA certification and exam.
    https://www.imanet.org/-/media/6f64b804887641d880afef2178a44b9c.ashx

Unfortunately, no one can answer your question, because every single topic covered by CMA is "Important" and you may have a question about in the exam.
Importance is divided into (6) main sections that we all know:
    1. Section A. External Financial Reporting Decisions (15%)
    2. Section B. Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting (20%)
    3. Section C. Performance Management (20%)
    4. Section D. Cost Management (15%)
    5. Section E. Internal Controls (15%)
    6. Section F. Technology and Analytics (15%)
I believe that exam will cover all these sections according to related importance %. Obviously, Sections B, C & D are the most powerful and important ones. This is a logic argument since CMA is about Management.

Being a successful Management Accountant, Finance Manager or even CFO you can't ignore the value (Importance) of any information covered by CMA and you should be aware of when it comes to exam and reality.

If your concern is the MCQ: The 100 questions will cover all these sections
If your concern is the essay: No one can tell the truth, but you should pay more attention to Sections B, C & D.

My advice is: Stick to IMA's Learning Outcome Statements (LOS) which should be our guidance as future CMA's

Wish you all the best & success

    Kind regards
