    Hello friends,
I just finished my CMA 2 exam and waiting for my results, but I can say one thing that as compared to the mock test and the progress test , the real exam was way beyond difficult ( person experience).

    What you guys think!!!!

    Best Regards,
    Gaurav

I agree.  I put in the same amount of studying for both parts.  Leaving the exam center after Part 1, I felt good (my exam results later justified this feeling!).  However, I didn't feel nearly as good after taking Part 2 even with the same amount of study effort.  I still have to wait a few more weeks for those results...

Yes I agree ! I was extremely comfortable with my Part 1 exam. But Part 2 was extremely difficult. The essay type had me typing out two entire NPVs and analyzing them. It was harder and much more time consuming this time. I hope my results turn out to be fine. All the best to everyone who is taking it up .

I totally agree. I was examined 2 weeks ago part 2 and i at some point in the exam i felt like i was having a meltdown. it was way more difficult than Gleim and the support package from IMA. Anyhow fingers crossed waiting 4 more weeks until the result!

    Best of luck to everyone!

Also I doubt if the exam was properly designed in accordance to the Learning outcome statement. There are concepts that I can not find on the Learning outcome statement

I believe that IMA should take an examination on what they asked us in the Part 2 exam

Took part 2 last week. Also agree that it was more difficult than I expected.

I absolutely agree. The testing center I was at also told me I couldn't take in my financial calculator so I had to calculate a 10 year NPV problem using the discount rates from the table. A 2 minute problem turned into a 15 minute problem so that just added that much more stress. I went through almost 2,000 practice questions with Wiley and they were no where near the level of difficulty presented in the exam. I did however feel the essay portion was well written with reasonable difficulty!

But I am optimistic yet so fingers crossed. Hope everyone passed!

I agree, I am glad I was not the only one. I had an existential crisis taking part 2 and agree with other that is seemed there were questions including things I cannot locate on the LOS's. I breezed through taking part one and when studying for part 2 I was more familiar with the content and all the practice tests I was really comfortable for the test. There were many questions on the test that I never even learned while studying which was really concerning. I spent 4 months studying for this exam too so I am not sure how I would have missed learning about certain sections. I am hoping this was one of the harder difficulties which will be curved down to adjust to past tests in terms of results. Guess I will find out this week, I took my test in September.

I came across the following on Gleim's website a little while back.  I wonder if you got a few of these "pretest" questions.

"Each CMA exam will include an undisclosed number of "pretest" questions to gather data for their future potential use. Such questions do not count toward your score. It does no good to try to guess which questions might be pretest questions, so it's best to give every question your full attention.

    Hello,
I was searching around to see if any of the IMA chapters were offering any review and the Austin chapter is review session; see below.
I haven't taken Part 1 and I was looking forward the review with UGA and just learned that they cancelled their review due to the professor taking on another position at another university in Georgia.  I am going to re-schedule my exam and take Part 2 first.

    Starts:  Nov 18, 2020 7:30 PM (CT)
    Ends:  Jan 20, 2021 9:00 PM (CT)
