  • 1.  Data Analysis Question.

    Posted 03-23-2020 03:43 AM
    Good Afternoon,

I plan to give my exams in early May. This is for those who have
already given their exams in the earlier windows.

Will there be sums on Linear Regression from Data Analytics in the exam?
To be more specific will there be sums on Confidence interval,
Standard Error, Simulations and Goodness of Fit?

Also if you guys could suggest a Studying Pattern you'll swear by. I'm
just too sacred and I really don't want to risk failing the exam.

Thank you and wishing you all to stay safe and healthy during this pandemic.

    Hello Greeshma,

First of all, I would like to encourage you to take that fear out of your mind and put a strategy to beat CMA exam by preparing yourself very well.
Second, I understand from your request "about studying pattern" that you have just started your journey, while you plan to take the exams of early May !!!. If so, that is not enough time to be 100% prepared for Part-1 (If you are planing to take it first). End of June will be much better case your daily studying time is less than (4) hours.
If you have already started and feel confident about your time frame I recommend the followings:
    1. Pay more attention to IMA's Learning Outcome Statements (LOS) ... (Includes every concept you should be aware of as CMA candidate)
    2. Practice, practice, practice and practice as much as you can of MSQs & essays ... (For confidence accumulation & time mastering)
    3. Completely finish IMA's exam support package 2020 questions ... (Very clear evidence of what you may face in live exam)

You should expect to have a question about any concept mentioned in LOS, including linear regression (I had 2 questions in last Feb, theoretical & mathematical)
Even me, I hate that "Static" subject since college time, but we are obliged to understand and use this analytical tool. (YouTube free lectures will help you out)

I have posted some live exam tips & notes to whom it may concern, it would be helpful if you have a look on: Very important "live" exam tips

My final advice is: Please use your natural fear to initiate your conscious and build more self-confidence, challenge who is questioning you and proof that you deserve to pass and earn your designation. Study CMA as you want to teach it for other students .. that's the key to success in any exam.

For any help or support, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are gathered here to share our knowledge & experience.
Best wishes of luck, success, safe & healthy condition.

    Kind regards
