I use ADP. My current company is in PA, which has local taxes that are a pain to track and file. We started on ADP Run, which is suited for very small companies. We moved up to Resource, which uses a bigger platform for payroll, but also includes unlimited access an HR professional. So we don't have an expensive HR employee. All fees are pretty much a base with per-employee charge. Always ask for a discount. They will charge a delivery fee per payroll. If you can get all your employees to sign up for paperless delivery, you can ask to waive the delivery charge.
I can't say enough about the customer service when you need it. Extremely nice, professional, and thorough.
I have not used other services, nor was interested in running payroll myself.

I've used ADP and Gusto. ADP is the biggest, of course, and it may be easer to find staff with experience using it. Other than that one "pro" ADP is hot garbage IMO. Super bloated, over complicated, poor access to customer service. Gusto is far more user friendly for both admins and staff. It's possible to get various ADP "certifications" for time and attendance, HR, etc. There are no Gusto payroll certifications because it's better designed and you don't need one.
