    Hello sir/mam

     Can you please help? Is it possible to me if I recently only pay exam fees and then after I well prepare for the exam then I will book a date and time as preferable for me ? or is it possible then how many months or days before we need to book the exam slot such as can I only pay exam fees now and then after 2 to 3 months I can book the exam center and date. please help me with this...

    Hi Ashwina,

    Here is what i did. May be you can find your answer from what i mean. I registered with a prep course first, studied for 3 months (i had finished reading 50% of the material by this time) and then i became a member of the IMA as there was cost involved. After i had done almost 90% of my studies, then i booked a slot for the exam as I had a fair idea when I will finish the part and how long will it take for me to revise and give mock tests, There was no hurry as studying for the CMA is a big investment so why be in a hurry to finish it. Most important point is to understand the concept. If that is taking time and if you have already registered for the exam then you will either have to reschedule the exam date or may be you may not be 100% confident of giving the exam on the booked date and if you are not 100% sure and confident, you know what to expect in the results.

    So why take a chance. IMA gives 3 years to complete the course. Let it all sink in and when you are confident, register for the exam. Some exam prep courses offer lifetime access, some have 1 year access to their content etc...so it differs.

    Once you have received authorization from ICMA, it is your responsibility to schedule your appointment. Log onto www.prometric.com/ICMA to schedule, confirm, reschedule, or cancel your appointment 24 hours, 7 days a week. You will be given a confirmation number at the time you schedule an appointment; you should make note of this number. You can cancel your appointment and reschedule it to another date within the same testing window if you cancel 72 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Prometric will charge you a fee if you cancel your exam within 30 days of the scheduled appointment date.
