  • 1.  Job opportunities in USA for a non resident

    Posted 04-27-2020 02:44 PM
    Hi,
My name is Rebeca and I am from Spain. Last year I earned the CMA badge. I also have a master in auditing, a Bachelor in Business management with Honors and I have worked in auditing and accounting for 7 years (I am 28). I am currently working as a business analyst in an investment department for an important insurance company.
I was expecting that with all this criteria maybe it was easier for me to get a job in US but till now it seems that companies only want people with an already valid working VISA and do not even open my CVs in Linkedin. I would really want to move as I like very much the country and all its opportunities, and also my partner lives there (though green card through marriage is not planned at the moment).
I would like to know if anyone else faced also this situation and could provide some advice on where I could find job offers where they would at least be willing to interview me. Any type of advice, suggestion or experience would be very much appreciated. Obviously I know that now Trump has even put more obstacles to this, but I would like to continue trying for when all this abnormal situation finally stabilizes a bit.
    Thank you so much!
    Regards,
    Rebeca

    Rebeca,

Do you search for and apply for jobs in the US? Or do you wait for companies to look at your profile in LinkedIn?
