  • 1.  Becoming a CPA in Pennsylvania

    Hello Everyone,

I am looking into starting my journey to becoming a CPA. I have a question in regards to the work experience needed to become a CPA. The bullet is  "The experience can be in public or non-public accounting but has to be supervised and verified by an active US CPA", can this be from a previous position I held in the past under an active CPA? Thank you!

    Hi Robert,

I'm not licensed in the state of PA, but I'd think that you should be fine as long as your experience from the previous position can be verified and signed off by an actively licensed CPA. However, I strongly recommend that you contact the PA State Board of Accountancy to get a definite answer.
