    I realize there are many options for a budgeting software application, including ERP system modules themselves, but I'm looking for a solution for a client using SAP and BPCS with forecasts in Microsoft Excel. They need to streamline and automate the 6-week process of updating the forecast every quarter. The relevant industry is manufacturing. 

    If you have had particular success in a given non-spreadsheet application (I know there are also cloud applications such as Net Suite and Host Analytics), please let me know. We know we can improve an Excel-based version, but would like to offer alternatives that improve integrity, control, transparency, and connectivity.

    I did some research on such applications because I am planning to develop such an application geared towards SMEs aimed to be low cost solution plus being simple.

    During research, I found two of many apps appealing:
