  • 1.  Intl offices, credit card handling

    Posted 06-04-2014 09:09 AM
I work for a small company that is opening small offices internationally that will hold maybe two employees. They will receive a corporate credit card. How would you recommend handling their credit card?
Currently, we have a corporate card based in a US bank, and we are getting hit with Intl Service Fees.
Thought about a non-US bank, but I don't care to translate a bunch of petty charges.
    Another option?
Mgmt will not bend to my suggestion, get rid of the blasted card!
Thank you for your feedback. Would love to hear how IMA is handling give the multiple intl offices.

Can't you get a card that doesn't have foreign transaction fees?

Thank you Mr. Marinov and Mr. Paul for your responses. After talking more about the situation around our office, I received the "oh by the way ..." Turns out we have not switched to a bank that does not charge the Intl Fee because of a Chip & Pin requirement in cards for some Euro countries to accept a card. As the Chip & Pin setup becomes a requirement at the end of the year(?), we have identified a card company that will not charge us the Intl Transaction Fee.
    Thank you
