I work for a mid-size direct to consumer company that uses catalog and web site to sell to consumers.  Currently we are using excel as a tool to budget.  As we expand we are finding it difficult to control the development of the budget, especially versions of spreadsheets, due to the number of sources and users of the budget.

We are currently using Oracle for general ledger.

Is there a budget software package that someone can recommend that would interface well with Oracle as that we can use prior period actual data as a starting base?

    Hi Diane,

CPA Technology Advisor is a good website to look at in regards to software.

they had a readers poll and when you scan down the article, it will lists companies that do Analytical/Forecasting/Budgeting- click on the link http://www.cpatechnologyadvisor.com/print/The-CPA-Technology-Advisor/2009-Readers-Choice-Awards/1$2258.

this might be a good starting place. good luck.
