I am trying to figure out the scoring of essay question. One essay had 6 question, I could only answer 4 correctly, 2 I messed up. What are the chances? Also it says I should get the result in 6 weeks? I thought it was a lot earlier.

Firstly congratulations on making through your essay window. The scores a weighted. Your final score will be based on 75% of your score from MCQs and 25% from your essay.

Your mcqs window opens once you secure atleast 50% of entire score that is approx 70% mcqs correctly. To secure your exam entirely you need atleast 72% overall. Which means you need approx 80% from your essay exam to be sure to pass.

However if you have secured more in your mcqs you might need lesser but not less than 50% from your essays.

Your essay comprises of 2 questions each with 5 to 6 questions. If you attempted both questions fairly well you should feel proud, pray and wait patiently. Its a high chance you may pass. Good luck!

When you make it to the essay portion you secure atleast 50% of total exam score. There is a high chance to pass If you secure anything greater than or equal to 80% from your essay exam.

Here is an illustration for better clarity

Suppose you got 80% of your Essay correct. That means your scaled score for essay would be 125x80%=100
When you made it through to the essay you must have secured atleast 250 of the scaled score

In order to pass an exam you need atleast 360.

Thus there are high chances to pass if you did your essay portion well overall.

    Understanding scale:
Its tricky to understand that not all mcqs carry equal marks. Your score is scaled and weighted. To make it to the essay part you have to secure 50% of the entire score.

It can be that you got less than 50 correct but they carried higher score that is atleast 50% of total score(250 scaled score) before you were able to enter essay window.

It doesn't depend on how many you got correct but if you secured 70 correct answers then you definitely have scored more than 250.

In summary, when you make it to the essays and perform well, you have a high chance of passing exams. Good luck!
