  • 1.  Recognition of US CMA in India

    I am curious to know other people's views and experiences on US CMA recognition in India. I am from financial services industry and I know employers are crazy for CFA candidates. I chose CMA due to my love for management accounting and strategic finance, and CMA seems feasible financially, time wise and content wise as well . Also, in my industry we generally have North American clients and I know CMA is hugely popular in the US, but to reach to that stage I need Indian employers to know about CMA (which I feel there is still a huge gap - as I mentioned earlier their love for CFAs). All the Indians out their who have pursued or are pursuing CMA, what is your experience and views, I am eager to learn about it.

    Hello Nupur,

    Most fortune 500 companies have offices in India. Indian chapters are working hard to tie up with foreign companies (I am myself on the board of Bangalore Chapter) to spread awareness and give Internship opportunities in India. So it is fairly well known and catching up. It is not an issue. CMA is well recognized.
