    Dear Faisal,

A qualified CMA is highly competent to apply for an investment banking or equity research job. CMA Part-2 is completely based on financial analysis and decision making.

    Hello MD Mullick,

CMA covers part of investment banking /private equity skills requirement in Part-2 but still not that powerful compared to CFA.
CFA core base is Financial Analysis which is the first requirement for investment banking while CMA core base is Financial Management.
CMA would support your analytical thinking but not so much as CFA. Still you need to acquire additional certification to complete the course.

I'v read many articles regarding the required skills and certification for investment banking & private equity work, most of them have agreed on CFA & MBA. Other certificates like CPA, CMA, CA, ACCA ..etc. are helpful, but not enough.

To make it clear please review the weight of covered articles in CMA Part-2 to find out if it is enough or not .. I don't think it is.

    Kind regards
