CMA Part 1 test

I took my CMA test today and failed miserably. The time was really confusing. When doing the Wiley practice test, the countdown starts at the 4 hr mark. I didn't noticed  that the countdown for the test started at the 3 hr mark so after about 2 hours i thought I would not have enough time to finish the first part and the essays so i started guessing the answers (big mistake). There were very long questions, lots of calculations, and nothing similar to Wiley's practice questions. By the end, i think there was a glitch because the computer kept showing only 85 % of questions answered but I couldn't find any unanswered quesrions, and when i moved to the next step I received the failed message. Probably 25% of my questions didn't get credited.

    HI,

That's so unfortunate. But I hope you won't give up.
Btw, it was for Part1 or Part 2?
I prepared Part-1 with Gleim Question bank. the questions in the exam were like 75-80% similar to Gleim and I somehow managed to pass the exam. Currently preparing for Part-2 with Gleim Material only.

    Good Luck.

Congrats! I passed part 2 with Gleim and am going for part 1. Gliem was good for part 2, practice with a friend if possible.

    Hi Muhammad,

What are the chances of cracking Part 1, if you are scoring between 70-75% in Gleim's practice exams?

Are the CMA questions more tougher compared to Gleim?

    Hi Muhammad,
Best luck for Part 2 and Congrats for clearing the major hurdle of CMA ie Part 1.
Btw you only prepared with Gleim  Test Bank or referred any other as well.
I am preparing only with Wiley and Aline's comment is scaring me now, i have seen Wiley Test bank questions are not that lengthy compared to Gleim's recent free MCQs (which is available for a month now) .
Are  major of CMA exams questions so lengthy and are taking more than time allocated . please let know

    Hi Aline,

Sorry to hear that, I also failed once miserably but came back and passed well and you will too. For me, what worked was to really stay calm and when the time started, I only answered the ones that were obvious or easy to me. I maybe skipped half the first go. By then, my stress levels were much lower and i was able to focus better. You need to do a boat load of practice questions so that you will recognize  the main gist of the question is asking before you even read it.

Treat yourself to some ice cream, pho, meat-ball sandwich, or what ever is good to you and rebuild. Distance yourself from friends, family and social media for a bit and you will pass.

    Good luck,
    Uriah
