  • 1.  question about exam entrance fee expiration

    Posted 10-29-2021 09:45 PM
I am aware that I have three years after I paid for the exam entrance fee. If I did not pass both parts, the passed exam will be forfeited, and I will have to retake both exams again.
Here is my situation, I have passed the first exam. But I am waiting for the result of the second exam to come back. What if I won't get the result before the exam entrance fee expire. In my case, the second exam result will be released two or three days after my exam entrance fee expires date.
Assume I pass the second part, but I receive the score two to three days after my entrance fee expiration date. Does CMA still consider I passed both parts within three years?
    Please please advise!

    Hello Yunhua,

I am also in the same boat. The three year entrance fee is due to expire on November 28th but I have my second exam tomorrow. I won't get my results until December but it's my understanding that candidates have two years after they've passed their first exam to pass their second exam. If the two year requirement is met, then it's my understanding that if they pass both exams before the 3-Year from date of entrance date then they have completed the examination portion of the program.

Pass date being the date of examination and not release date.

    Good Luck!

    Thank you very much.
I got a reply from IMA, and I quote: "As long as you sit for the exam before your three-year time expires your exam result will be valid. "
    Hope this helps you too.
    Good luck to you too.

I'm pretty sure it goes by exam date, not by result release date. If you passed, it will be within 3 years regardless  of when the results come out.
