  • 1.  3 Years Membership- Extension

    Dear All,

    Any idea if due to Covid-19 situation if IMA will agree to extend the validity of 3 year membership further.

    I cleared my part 1 in Aug 2019, however I could not appear for the Part 2 in 2020.
    And have failed twice for part 2 with the score 350 & 330 in Oct 2020 & Jan 2021 testing window.

    I have registered again for Jun 2021.
     My membership with expire in Oct 2021 

    Losing credit for my part 1 is actually haunting me.

    Hi Sneha and everyone, 

    I joined the membership November 2020, and I cannot answer to that question but please allow me to participate on this regard.  I am actually concerned about this possibility in future.

    they should do something like as during the pandemic every one was afraid to be near people, myself delaying studying part 2 until become fully vaccinated  and i have to take proportions because i may get infected after fully vaccinated.

    i have registered on window next Sep 2021, wish me luck, and i hope IMA consider such idea

    Hi Shena,

    I have asked this at IMA earlier this year and they said that there would be no extension of the 3-year period. Personally I find this disappointing because so many of us were not aible to take an exam of the exams were cancelled/postponed in the COVID-period. Maybe if more people will send this question directly to IMA, they will come up with a solution/extension.

    Yes that is a good Idea to request IMA to extend the 3 years period to 4 years
