  • 1.  writing the questions down

    Posted 11-20-2020 02:35 PM
Hello, I practice the problems by writing the key numbers and information down first (I basically re-write the question) and then perform the calculations.  For the exam, will I have time to do this particularly for complex problems?

    Thank you!

You can do this during your studies but once you understand the problem and the applicable  LOS I suggest that you dropped this method and don't use during the exam. It will cause you to lose a lot of time. Essays can sometimes be very lengthy during the exam!

Thank you!  Once I start taking the timed practice exams that will give me an idea how much I can jot down.  I feel it is unrealistic for me to not jot down key figures when reading a question.  There is no way I can internalize the questions without see it on paper rather than the tiny font of the questions on the screen.  When I went to college everything was paper exams and the questions were much easier to read.  Is there a way to increase font size in the exam or zoom in on questions?  Maybe this is a way for the IMA to legally discriminate against older exam takers.

I think that it would waste your limited time if you rewrite the key figures.
Instead, you can highlight this numbers while you read the question by selecting the text you want and click on the pen icon that appears when you select the text, then the text will highlighted by yellow colour.
And remember that you need every minute in your time.
