    Hi,

    I Hope everyone is safe,

I was wondering, is it allowed to enter the exam(Part2) with two calculators : a basic one and the BAII plus?

Anyone had experienced the same with Prometric?

    Regards

    Hi Loai,

Yes, Prometric will only allow one calculator, so take your BAII plus since it functions as a basic calculator as well as a business calculator. In fact Prometric will not allow you to take anything else in with you, no pencils, pens, paper, kleenex, water bottle, etc., and they'll check and clear your calculator and have you turn all your pockets inside out. They will provide you with pencils and scrap paper if you request them, and they will collect them back from you when you leave the test room. They'll also collect everything from you if you have to leave to use the restroom or anything.

Practice all the functions you think you will need on your calculator before the test date, as they will not allow you to take the directions that come with the calculator in with you either. Hope this helps.

Also May I ask if the computers we are assigned to at the testing center has a built in calculator for us to use? I'm pretty good with my 10-key skills so I'm wanting to know if we have the calculator feature available and I think I'd be faster if I use this.
    Thanks!

    Hello Anna,

Testing center offers a desktop PC which has a wide screen, normal mouse & keyboard, for sure you will be able to use MS Windows calculator along with time value tables which I recommend to practice it because we are supposed to show our PV calculations in essay question if of we had a capital investment case study analysis.

Please find the attached documents for your kind reference:
    1. Sample essay answer from ESP shows PV calculation
    2. Recent IMA webinar held on 28 April with regard to exam test-taking tips and strategies (See page 35)

Wish you best of luck, success, safe & healthy condition

    Kind regards
