Actual exam: MCQ score >50% correct will open the essay portion of the exam. If less than 50% you're exam is over.

I have gave mock test on part 2
Result is showing 90% in MCQ's
Then I didn't gave any Essay question ?
On CMA if we are 50% qualified in MCQ's then we need to give Essay answering ?
Are we not eligible for Essays if we got more then 50% in MCQ's ? In Mock or Final Exam?
Can you explain about Scoring in Test ? I'm confused!
