And boy are my nerves tired.........

We have a company here Prometric Testing that is administering.

A few specifics of the actual test center experience that I did not know of or expect, although I didn't do much research.

I am using GLEIM and I definitely had a tougher time with this MCQ exam than I did on the GLEIM Exam Rehearsal.

I don't necessarily fault the test prep for it, but let's just say that they don't seem to know much more about what will be on the actual exam than you and I do, apparently.

Has anyone taken either part recently to know how long it takes to get the results?

I also don't think I have ever gotten an confirmation anywhere on if it is 70 or 75 you need to get.  I mean cumulative.  Weighted average.  on a scale of 0-100.

I just took part 1 today is well.. Hope it went well for you.  I disagree on your comment about gleim.  I think Gleim did a wonderful job preparing me.  I took the time to really learn the sub units thoroughly, not just pounding questions.  When I received the essay it felt like I had seen the question before.  Gleim is great if you're a good self learner.

I took part 1 on friday and used Wiley study course. I thought the study questions were very similar to the actual test and feel pretty good about passing. We'll see in 6 weeks!

    Hi,

I am preparing for my Part 1 CMA and using the Gliem review. As and when I am going to the MCQ tests, I am being recommended to again review the materials of the same Unit and hence I am stuck in one Unit for a long time. Should I be studying the same unit again and again or should I move on to the next unit? Is the system expecting me to get a 100% score?

I would send an email to gleim. They will be in the best position to explain the software. In my experience they are very responsive.

Also I think you have to use your own judgement. If you don't understand the material you need to isolate your knowledge gaps and attack them with flash cards or writing the information multiple times. If you miss a question because of a silly error write down a note and move on. Can't get bogged down by one SU

    HI Nalini,
I am also using Gleim. I took Part 2 in January and Part 1 last Friday so won't have results for a bit. I felt like the questions in Gleim were very similar to what was on the test. Here was my approach to the Gleim materials since I experienced the same thing you are mentioning. I did the initial "pre-test" in every chapter. Then starting with chapter one I read the digital book and did a MCQ test and an essay test for every chapter. Some chapters I had an 88 on the MCQ and an 75 on the essay and it still directed me to re-read the book and watch the videos. Since I don't learn very well from watching the videos I only used those if I still needed help understanding a concept. After the full run through I had a better understanding of where I needed to focus my learning and worked on those chapters taking 2 MCQ tests and 1 essay test. I also used the MCQ Test Bank choosing all subjects and 20 or 50 questions depending on how much time I had. This approach won't work for everyone but it was what I felt most comfortable with to make the most of the study material. My biggest take away is understand the concepts! Good luck with your studies.

I had the same experience on Part 1 which I took on 22nd.  I used Gleim and the review guide was off from the prometric testing.
