That's a good question. I can't find any guidance on this like the CPA exam. I am assuming you can take a break (whether timed or untimed) between the 100 MCQs and the Essay questions, but hopefully someone can provide clarity on:
1) When you click submit for the 100 MCQs, does the exam prompt you to continue on to the essays or does it just go straight into them?
i.e. This would be a good time to raise your hand and let the Prometric staff know you would like to take a break while you are between sections so it doesn't look like you are taking a break in the middle of a section. On the CPA exam, taking a break during an active session could disqualify you/void the results...
2) Does the clock continue running if a break is offered, or do you have to eat that time?

Subject: Weird question: How do you take breaks during the exams?
The prometric center I use is really dry in the testing room, and I am having to always get a drink of water. 20 minutes sitting in the testing room, my mouth becomes a desert.
During the cpa exam I used every break screen I could to get drinks (and use the bathroom).
How can you get a drink of water with 100 straight MCQs?
