    Hi all,

For those who use Gleim as their test prep, would you please help me out and provide advise as to what % is the ideal test score per each unit?
I'm here 2 weeks away from my Part 1 exam and I'm kind of frustrated not being able to do well in the quizzes despite of all the work I've put in. Sorry for venting, I just feel like units 6-12 are kicking my ass and I can't seem to get a passing grade on the quizzes. I've read the material over and over but the questions are overly complicated. Are the questions these tough and lengthy compared to the actual test?
I'm trying to be positive, please help.
    Thanks

    Hi Anna,

I had my exam yesterday and had the same problem 2 days prior to my exam solving Gleim tests. I was scoring on Gleim not more than 30 to 40 percent, but surprisingly passed the MCQ on the exam day and reached the essays section.

Don't worry and keep the confidence up

    Hello Anna,

I am using Gleim as well. Actually, Gleim questions seem more complicated than the CMA questions that I found in the exam support package (retired CMA questions). But since the passing rate is 72% (360 over 500), I would say try to practice more and be above 70% in Gleim. At this time, reading the material over and over won't help much; instead, practice more and more so that you are aware of the trap which I usually left in the questions. The more you practice, the better will scores will be.

    All the best!

I used Gleim materials to pass 2 parts of CMA exam. I do believe you should practice more and be above 70% on MCQs to be comfortable when taking actual exam. The essay question of Gleim is extremely hard and complicated. If you have enough time, I think it is good to practice those questions. But if you are running out of time, practicing essay questions from the exam support package is enough.

    Hi,

Well, don't get frustrated for not getting enough scores in your Gleim Test Bank. I passed my part 1 using Gleim and never scored a passing benchmark. The questions in Gleim are somewhat 60-70% the same as the real exam. But I failed in my two attempts because what I was doing is repeating the Theory again and again and again, which is useless. Read the book once, then practice questions only. This will clear your concept effectively.

    Good Luck

    Hi Anna,

Try and keep practicing as much MCQs' as you can. Take more practice tests in your weaker areas. The more you practice, you may end up understanding the concepts and calculations. I'm currently using Gleim and will be answering Part 1 this week and have been doing atleast 3 tests a day. It has helped me.

    All the best :)

    Hi Anna,

I'm using Gleim as well.  I'm taking the Part 1 exam (again) on Oct 31.  My opinion is that the Gleim questions are nearly the same as what you will find on the exam.  My mistake the first time was not working through ALL the MCQ's in each Unit (practice, practice, practice!).  I was only doing the suggested 20, getting around 75%, feeling confident, and moving on.  Many MCQ's in Gleim appear throughout each Part and ask you to solve for different things... which is similar to what you'd see in the Essay section.  And because I wasn't working through all the MCQ's, I was missing out on some good practice and understanding.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm suffering through Units 9-12 too :-(

I am having trouble with the Gleim materials as well. I actually delayed my test and started studying from the beginning again because I felt like I was doing so poorly. I've stuck with Gleim because of all the good reviews, but the quizzes do seem very difficult to pass for certain sections, and often include information that isn't directly covered in the section. I reached out the the counselor and was told that was part of their method and that topics will build upon each other. It has definitely shaken my confidence so I'm hoping that starting over from the beginning will help.
