Hi Rajesh
As I mentioned in my previous message, GLEIM or any other material is highly subjective
Depends on a students understanding, language and grip over the concept
Gleim, for me was best as I wanted to learn to the point and I believe can built over a point and relate to different situations as can be expected in an CMA exam
Its concise. I found Hock and Wiley too huge for me to get grip over a topic or confidence at the time of revision
I respect an equally opposite opinion if anyone else has, and we both will not be wrong
Considering your situation that you too are a working professional, GLEIM is the ideal choice; and where you feel that you need more explanation, you can google it out or may be keep HOCK by your side to just go through the subject for your understanding, keeping GLEIM as your benchmark
Effective Study Tips : My style :
1. Try to understand the concept (Outline)
2. Solve MCQ's. This solving will correct the stuff learnt in the previous understanding
3. There are questions which you solve correctly in your first go. Mark them with a identification
4. Many MCQ's you solve it wrong. Mark them separately and write the reasons where your logic and understanding was wrong against the expected logic/understanding
5. Satisfy yourself to the correction requried
6. During revision, based on the time you have to revise, can skip the MCQ's under 3
7. Go through your remarks only wheer you have mentioned the correct understanding if you have very minimal time to revise
I hope this helps.
I also believe that a student has his/her best way of learning, try to identify the same and jort down your plan accordingly
NEVER EVER refer a new material to study once you are nearing your exam, it will only reduce your confidence

Subject: Group study for CMA US PART_1 February test window
Hi Mustaq,
I have just got registered for Part-I, planning to attempt in Feb-21.
I have GLEIM study material, is it OK? OR i should buy another one? I am a bit confused.
And can you please give some tips as to how study effectively? As i am a working professional not having much time.
For multiple choice questions should i practice the same questions again & again?
Thanks,

Dear Muhsin
Which Material : I believe it all depends on your pattern of studies. Hock/Wiley is in detail. Looking at its size, bothers me. Gleim is concise and the language flows with me.
But some prefer details. I would suggest take 1 topic and read the book, the one which suits you, is best for you. I cleared in first attempt with Gleim and its MCQ's
