Hello @Narnesha Pawliczek and @Ilya Ilienko
Excellent discussion!
I am analyzing responses from managers about AI adoption. Here are some hints.
AI training has a greater influence on AI adoption than basic data analytics (DA) adoption because AI requires specialized skills, such as machine learning and automation. To successfully implement AI, employees must understand these advanced concepts. In contrast, DA typically involves tools like data visualization and statistical analysis, which professionals often already know. Thus, AI-specific training is crucial to closing the skills gap and boosting confidence in implementing AI solutions.
Managers may view AI, machine learning, robotic process automation, and other technologies as costly to implement. High initial investments, integration complexities, and the disruption of existing systems can make short-term cost savings seem elusive. Additionally, the learning curve, hidden expenses like cybersecurity and maintenance, and the slow realization of cost benefits may contribute to the perception that these technologies do not immediately reduce costs.
Emerging technologies also pose challenges for aligning IT with business strategy. Managers may feel that these tools disrupt existing processes and may not align with current strategic goals. The long adoption cycles of AI and related technologies can create a gap between IT capabilities and rapidly evolving business objectives. Further, resistance to organizational changes, the struggle to link technology adoption with tangible business outcomes, and potential conflicts with centralized decision-making processes contribute to the view that these technologies hinder IT-business alignment.
Best regards,
Ahmad

Hi @Narnesha Pawliczek
This is an amazing and exciting event! π I've been talking with @Ahmad Jumah recently about the practical uses of AI, and our conversation really got me thinking about how important these discussions are, especially for our industry. AI is transforming not just accounting but also areas like auditing, financial analysis, and even strategic decision-making, making events like yours incredibly timely and valuable. Our brains have been swirling with AI ideas!!!
I wanted to highlight that there are actually 4 amazing free options (finance, automation, risk, trust . . .) that will be covered in the event, each offering unique insights that can truly help us leverage AI in both practical and innovative ways. The lineup you've put together sounds like a great mix of actionable tools and ideas.
I really appreciate the opportunity to learn from experts, especially as we navigate AI's growing impact. I know Ahmad and I were diving deep into this topic, so I'm excited to see it brought to life during your sessions. This is such a fantastic way to keep the community engaged and moving forward with the latest trends! π
AWESOME!!!
